Bryan Harvey

Principal and Founder

Bryan Harvey is an experienced real estate executive with over 12 years of experience across all major areas of real estate development including property acquisition, asset management, and property management. He founded Flyway Investments in May, 2019.

Harvey was responsible for the acquisitions and asset management for GVA Pro Real Estate, a leading multi-family apartment developer based in Austin, TX. During his 4 year tenure at GVA, the company grew from $75 million to over $800 million in portfolio value. As the first employee of GVA, Bryan was involved in all aspects of the business from initial valuation to disposition. He worked with brokers and attorneys during the acquisition, construction vendors while implementing capital improvement budgets, property management to ensure properties were operating efficiently, and investors to keep them apprised of the performance of their investments.

Harvey worked for HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler) based in the Austin Office for two years where he learned the different options to capitalize deals and the importance of matching the best debt and equity to the specific business plan and expected hold period for each investment.

Harvey’s career began with Lincoln Financial Group’s Commercial Mortgage Loan Production based in Greensboro, NC, where he worked for over 5 years. Learning the viewpoint of a Fortune 500 lender proved to be a valuable base in realizing his goals of owning a real estate company. He learned to judge the best times to refinance or dispose of the investment, how to mitigate potential future issues in loan documents, and how to meet the ongoing compliance requirements with lenders.

Bryan received a B.S. degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance and minor in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was also a member of the university’s baseball team where he learned to balance the commitments needed to be a student-athlete.

Bryan views owning real estate as a way to improve and shape the community around him while providing investors above market returns. His goal is to find cash flowing assets, improve NOI and distribute excess cashflow back to investors during the hold period.
